Some weddings feel extra special behind the lens — and this one definitely did. I’ve known Cheyanna since we were kids, and being able to photograph her wedding to Gabe was an experience I’ll never forget. The day was full of laughter, family, and the kind of joy that only happens when everyone in the room truly knows and loves each other.

Even though the weather was a little gloomy, the atmosphere couldn’t have been brighter. Between the soft clouds and rustic charm of the country setting, the light gave everything a cinematic, timeless look. A KENTUCKY DERBY CELEBRATION

In true Kentucky Derby spirit, the day was filled with fun and a little friendly competition. Guests placed their bets on which horse would win, and when the race began, laughter and cheers filled the air. Whoever guessed correctly got to take home the pot — but really, everyone won. The energy, excitement, and playfulness of that moment perfectly reflected Cheyanna and Gabe’s relationship — full of connection and joy.
