The Most Beautiful Photoshoot Locations in Indiana


One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to explore the beauty of Indiana through my clients’ sessions. From lush gardens to charming cityscapes, this state is full of hidden gems that bring out so much personality in every photo. The backdrop you choose says so much about your story, and luckily, Indiana has no shortage of options. Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve


If you’re dreaming of cozy woodsy vibes, Ritchey Woods is a treasure. It’s where golden sunlight filters through tall trees, creating a natural, cinematic glow that makes every couple look like they’ve stepped into a fairytale. Trails wind through quiet groves, giving us endless backdrops to explore — perfect for those who love nature’s simplicity. And honestly, there’s something so grounding about taking photos surrounded by nothing but rustling leaves and birdsong.

Holcomb Gardens


Holcomb Gardens at Butler University feels like Indiana’s secret garden. With blooming flowers in the spring, a reflective canal, and little stone pathways tucked into the greenery, it’s romantic without even trying. It’s one of those places where couples can simply be — walking hand in hand, sitting under a tree, or laughing by the water. The calmness here makes it easy for me to capture authentic, intimate moments.

Coxhall Gardens


Coxhall Gardens has a bit of everything — manicured landscaping, elegant architecture, and wide-open skies that give portraits a timeless, almost regal look. It’s the kind of spot where engagement photos can feel like they belong in a magazine. Whether it’s dramatic staircases or soft fields at sunset, the versatility here makes it a dream for clients who want a blend of sophistication and natural charm.

Downtown Indianapolis


For my city lovers — Downtown Indy is unbeatable. Monument Circle brings all the energy and elegance of the city, with its historic architecture, bustling sidewalks, and glowing lights after dark. There’s something electric about photographing couples in the middle of the city — love stories that stand strong amidst the movement of everyday life. It’s urban romance at its finest, with just the right mix of drama and fun.

If you’re looking for grand, timeless architecture, the Statehouse is absolutely stunning. Walker Photography’s Exclusive Farm Location


And then, there’s the crown jewel: my family’s farm in Knightstown. This is a location that only Walker Photography clients get access to, and it’s one of my favorites because it’s truly one-of-a-kind. Rolling fields, rustic barns, and golden hour sunsets that feel endless — it’s the epitome of Indiana charm. Whether it’s engagements, maternity, portraits, or even just fun seasonal shoots (yes, we’ve even done Fourth of July shoots here!), the farm gives us a private, relaxed space where you can be yourselves. No crowds, no interruptions — just open skies and authentic connection. It’s a place that feels like home, even if it’s your first time setting foot there.
