My name is Jacob Walker
About Me
First off, I'm honored and happy to have you here :)
I genuinely can't express the appreciation I have to people like you who trust me with some of the biggest moments/windows into their life.
I grew up in Knightstown, Indiana and went to school in Anderson. I always expressed an interest in photography and finally impulse bought a camera in 2021 with my entire Panera Bread paycheck at 17 years old... best decision ever.
Just over a year later I pursued photography professionally and haven't looked back
I capture those perfect moments, and the imperfect ones too :)
I specialize in weddings and portraits primarily. I used to do multiple styles but in 2025 I made the switch to specialize in just a couple fields and I've never been happier with my decision!
My 1st grade art project
It took some years but eventually I found my way back to photography :)
The inside info
- I love photography but one day I want to transition away and just travel the world; with my camera of course :)
- One day I'd like to run an ultramarathon of 100 miles
- I'm my happiest when I'm traveling with my friends around the world
- I love all types of music but Eminem has got to be my favorite
- I've been skydiving, 10/10 would recommend
Other Walker Photography Team Members
Abby Hoffman
Abby is Jacob's fiancee, his primary second shooter and does lots of behind the scenes work for Walker Photography. Abby is the sweetest and you can expect to see her at weddings and regular shoots in 2026, 2027, and into the future!
Josh Johnson
Josh Johnson has worked along side Jacob at multiple events and has known Jacob for around 6 years. They went to school together and are great friends to this day. Josh is insanely talented when it comes to videography and is the primary choice for Jacob when a client asks about a videographer. Josh also works at a church in Indianapolis where he handles all of their videography needs as well!
Josh is a reserved but talented guy who is very passionate about his work! Expect to see Josh along side Jacob working plenty of events and primarily weddings this year!
The following three photos were captured on a trip I took to Savannah, Georgia in January of 2022 . The photos captured on this trip were the ones that really sparked my drive for photography and wanting to take it to the next level. So they will always get their own shine :)
The Puddle
I love this picture because of the story behind it. I was with my parents and as I took this photo my mom asked "why are you taking pictures of puddles?" Hence the title. It's hard to decide but this is probably my favorite photo from my trip to Savannah, Georgia.
Broken Lines
Alleyways often produce great photos, this one was no exception. You can see the leading lines element; but it's almost broken due to the uneven railings along the steps. This is where the name "broken lines came from."
Big red
In terms of what has done the best on social media, Big Red has outperformed many others pictures that I've posted to this day. I love the picture and so do many of my followers. I think it's the vibrancy of the color is what draws so many people to it.
